We are always interested in hearing from individuals with rich academic backgrounds who are capable fo tutoring a broad range of topics.

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree, preference for Master’s or graduate students
  • One or more years of professional tutoring or teaching experience
  • Excellent communication skills and creative learning strategies
  • Flexible day time hours M-F, weekend availability is a plus, but not required
  • Opportunities to work in our University District office, Seattle Schools and the Eastside

 

Study Skills and Writing Development Tutors

Requires professional experience with LD and ADHD issues for college-bound students in the following subject and skill areas:
•
Writing development
• Reading comprehension
• Study skills, time management and test prep
• Organizational support for homework management
• Basic skills, including middle school math
• Ability to tutor Spanish, high school level math, and SAT test prep is a plus, but not required

Math & Science Tutors

Requires tutoring or teaching experience in the following subject areas:
• Math through high school calculus (statistics is a plus, but not required)
• Chemistry, physics and/or biology for rigorous high school college prep
• Ability to teach study skills and test prep for math and science classes (SAT I, SAT II, and ACT test prep is a plus, but not required)
• Spanish for middle school & high school is preferred but not required
